The first two choices are considered to be more convenient because the student can learn the math from home instead of spending a lot of time on class-times.While using a math tutor, a student should also be given an online program in order to learn from home. In a traditional classroom environment, students are not able to get the same lessons that a math tutor can give. They need to find a good instructor that can help them with the homework and how to solve a math problem.A math tutor is a great help when taking your class because it can help you with the homework and the lesson plan for the next day. This is important because a bad lesson plan can affect the way that you do well in the class. Affixes

Affixes Affixes The affixes are morphemes; the basic units in the grammar that cannot be divided any more. If you divide morphemes further they become meaningless. Many words in English have a root or a base word, e.g. cook that simply means preparing food. Affixes can be attached to the root word to change its meaning and to make a new word, add morpheme un in front (prefix) and insert ed at the tail end (suffix) to make a new word un-cook-ed (uncooked). Affixes placed in the beginning of a root word are called prefix and those placed at the end are known as a suffix. There are plenty of affixes examples in English language where many words have a root word, with one or many prefixes and suffixes. AFFIXATION: Affixation is a process of adding affixes to a root word. It is important to remember to add only a correct prefix or suffix to make a right word. Check the following affixation example to learn the correct way of adding affixes. UP-TAKE Right prefix UN-TAKE Wrong Prefix Affixes as literary devices play a very crucial role in English literature. They add fluency, imagery and creativity to writing and many writers use them to add more flavors to their written work.

How to Set (and Reach) Your Singing Goals

How to Set (and Reach) Your Singing Goals Suzy S. We all know that setting goals is an important part of music lessons. And as a singer, youre working with a very delicate instrument (your voice!) so youll want to set reasonable singing goals and work with a private teacher to monitor your progress. Read on as Buena Park, CA voice teacher Andrew C. describes the process We all have goals we want to achieve with our voice. Maybe you want to hit all the right notes in your song arsenal the next time you go to your local karaoke bar. Or maybe you have a very important singing competition coming up and need to focus on singing in tune. It could be you are the lead in a musical and need help with not losing your breath on stage while singing, acting, and dancing. Whatever the goal comes to be, we all have one thing in common we want to achieve the correct technique to accomplish our goals. There are numerous ways to do this the right way, as well as the wrong way. For the sake of success though, Im going to focus strictly on the right ways to do this. One very easy way is to purchase a voice recorder and listen to your voice. You always sound different in an audio playback mode versus your ear to your voice during a live singing demonstration. (Note: no two recordings will ever be identical.) No money? No worries, use your phone. Most phones nowadays come with an app ready to record your vocals. Along with playback mode, make sure you have a pen and paper. In order to critique your performance, you need notes. Listen to your playback again and again. Jot down your notes of improvement. Rinse and repeat. After you make your modifications, play it back again and compare it to your original recording. Did you improve or fix the problem? Sometimes we can still be biased toward our performance, so letting someone else critique your recording is always a good thing too. Another valuable exercise is to get an actual audience of peers (fellow singers) to judge your vocal abilities. Sometimes the ear and sight of a fellow vocalist is just what it takes to correct errors and help us reach the goals we would like to achieve.   Also, video is a super awesome resource and probably provides the fastest and most immediate feedback for you to view and correct anything flawed in your musical presentation. Try to approach each rehearsal or voice lesson with one goal. That should be the goal you focus on for the duration of your session. Practice until you get it right. Once you achieve that goal, begin using that acquired music skill in song after song in your arsenal until you become comfortable with the technique. As the story goes, it takes about 12 times of repetition before the mind begins to retain newly-processed information. So get used to burning and engraving your accomplished singing goals into your brain for permanent use. Why You Need a Personal Brand (Even If You Think You Dont) - Introvert Whisperer

Introvert Whisperer / Why You Need a Personal Brand (Even If You Think You Don’t) - Introvert Whisperer Why You Need a Personal Brand (Even If You Think You Don’t) Personal branding is one of those terms that are largely unclear or misinterpreted. As a result, some experts in the field are steering away from the term altogether. But I like the term. I think it’s filled with meaning and can see why Tom Peters (business guru) coined the term a decade ago. What Is Branding? To get you clear, let’s first look at this from a purely marketing point of view, since that’s where this term came from. Wiki defines branding as: “Name, term, design, symbol, or any other feature that identifies one sellers goods or service as distinct from those of other sellers.”People engaged in branding seek to develop or align the expectations behind their brand experience, creating the impression that a brand associated with a product or service has certain qualities or characteristics that make it special or unique. In other words, when you see a McDonald s and eat at a McDonalds, you think of certain visual images, as well as a consistent eating experience and environment. You’re very clear this isn’t going to be a fine dining experience; you know what to expect. That’s what branding does for the buyer. It helps them know where to go to have a specific product or service and experience. How Do You Make Branding Personal? To translate that for your usage, personal branding is what identifies you from another person and what other people can expect when “experiencing” or being with you. In the work context, it’s your work reputation and what people come to value about you. Your personal brand is unique to you. There’s no one else out there with the same constellation of skills and personal behaviors you have. Granted, there may be others with greater expertise than you, but we aren’t talking about a comparison when it comes to personal branding; we’re talking about only you and how you are viewed by others. For example, let’s look at Oprah’s personal brand. Visually, Oprah wears color and smiles. You see pictures of her touching and making contact with people. In her work, her focus is on being curious about the world, supporting the best in others and personal development. You could say many other things about what we expect out of her and how we experience her. All of that is consistent and clear to those of us watching her. We’d all be shocked if she suddenly got cranky and negative. To summarize your personal brand: It’s unique to you. It’s your reputation. It’s how others experience you and what they value about you. It’s what others expect and seek you out for. It’s also what YOU want to be known for. Why Does Personal Branding Matter? With those things in mind, now the big question is: Why is awareness of your personal brand important to your career? Here are 3 very good reasons: 1. If you’re aware of your personal brand and it’s consistent with your career goals, you want to reinforce it so people very clearly understand what you’re all about. It helps people remember you when it’s critical. (Click here to tweet this thought.) 2. If you’re ready to make a change in your career status in the foreseeable future, you want to think through how your brand needs to change so others start “seeing” you at this new level. 3. If you aren’t going where you want in your career, you probably have a mismatch between your personal brand and your aspirations. That means you have to do something to align those two things. You will only go as far as your personal brand supports. Your personal brand is always there, whether you understand it or are deliberate about managing it or not. You will find that if you pay attention to it and continually align it to your career goals, you’ll be more successful at attaining these career goals. What’s been the most difficult aspect of clarifying your personal brand? Share your thoughts in the comments! In fact, you could argue that this type of Latin dance is one of the most famous Argentinian exports! There are a number of socio-economic reasons for tango dancing. At the end of the 19th century, Argentina freed its slaves. At the same time, immigrants from Italy, France, Spain, and Germany made their way to the country. These immigrants spurred on Argentina’s economic growth and the capital, Buenos Aires, was hom e to many immigrant communities. At the time, habanera and guajira were the most popular styles of music. These styles were inspired by both Latin American and African musical styles. The inhabitants of Buenos Aires weren’t always housed in the best of conditions. The poorest immigrants lived in dilapidated buildings with former slaves in La Boca neighbourhood, near the port.Argentina is the birthplace of both tango music and tango dancing. (Source: werner22brigitte)The blend of musical styles led to the creation of “La Milonga” in La Boca. This would later be known as tango. At the time, it was mainly men who danced since there weren’t that many women around to embrace these new dance styles on the dance floor.Men developed various steps and would dance with each other or with prostitutes, which certainly didn’t help the discipline’s reputation. At the start of the 20th century, a few songs made their way as far as Paris. Oddly, they were via word-of-mouth rather than writ ten music. “Lunfardo”, a special language, was created.  Many of the words are still used in the Argentine capital today.Tango gained a reputation in Paris and was popular amongst some of the bourgeois. Its success in the French capital helped the discipline to become more respected.Instruments such as the violin, piano, and the bandoneon were added to pieces that usually included just guitars and drums. The main themes covered included the melancholy and sadness of the European immigrants who’d travelled to Argentina to start their new lives. The discipline changed over time. However, today it’s mainly known as a discipline for couples given its sensual nature rather than for its origins in urban neighbourhoods.Discover also the history of the Viennese Waltz!Tango: ImprovisationArgentine tango is often seen as a difficult discipline.  This is because there’s a lot of improvisation unlike styles like salsa, pasodoble, rhumba, the waltz, etc.If you take lessons in Buenos Air es, you’ll probably be surprised how often the teacher will let you just do your own thing. You just need to know the basic steps and then let yourself be guided.  Of course, this is only true for women as the men have to lead their partner. That said, it isn’t easy for women as they have to be able to perform some incredible footwork.  In the milongas, where tango is performed, you’ll learn to improvise as early as your first lesson.Originally, it was just the men who danced the tango. (Source: werner22brigitte)Traditionally, the men ask the women to dance. A man needs to catch a woman’s gaze. This whole procedure is done without uttering a word. Of course, this isn’t always the case but most Milongas around the world will respect this process.Once on the dancefloor, the couple get into position. The woman will put her weight on the man’s shoulder, who will act as the counterweight. The man leads the woman by lightly pushing or moving towards her.All these gestures are l ight and discreet, making tango technique very difficult to understand for those watching. So how do you know what you should be doing? There are a few basic steps that both the man and the woman need to remember. Once you’ve learnt these, each person needs to decide where and when to use them.  That’s why tango requires a lot of chemistry between partners as well as a good understanding of the music.Sometimes, you have to improvise. This is when the woman can express herself by caressing her leg against her partner, for example. The music plays a huge role in terms of rhythm and the steps you’ll do. You need to listen out for pauses, etc.Did you know that the Argentine Tango is considered one of the most sensual couples dances?  How Can You Learn the Tango as a Couple? The best way to learn the tango is to practice.  The same is true for styles like dancehall, salsa, Merengue, Bachata, rumba, swing, Zumba, Kizomba, mambo, tap, Oriental, rock ‘n’ roll, flamenco, modern Jazz, ballet, etc., but especially for disciplines where you dance as a couple.Don’t hesitate to dance with someone who’s better than you.  By dancing with a partner who’s better than you, you’ll learn a lot. Especially if you let them guide you. Don’t be scared of making mistakes, either. Tango is all about improvisation and most people won’t even notice if you make a mistake.Footwork is absolutely key when dancing the tango. (Source: Bernard-Verougstraete)If you start learning the tango as a couple and both of you are beginners, you’ll probably not learn as quickly if you stick together in your classes.  It’s probably better for each of you to learn the basics apart and then move ahead together.Discover more tips for learning couples' dancing!  So where can you find couples’ tango lessons? You can always visit a dance school, academy, or studio for courses, group lessons, private tutorials, weekly classes, intensive classes, etc. You can enrol at the start of the year b ut if you’ve missed the deadline, you’ll have to probably wait an entire year. You can also get private tutorials. This can be useful for couples with complicated timetables or schedules.  Additionally, you won’t have to loan your partner to another dancer. A private tutor can guide you both. You can also learn to dance in the comfort of your own home. There are online tutorials, DVDs, and books on tango. This can be more practical and affordable but you have to make sure that you’re paying particular attention as there’ll be no one there to correct you if you get it wrong. It’s a good idea to attend tango nights in milongas. Just like salsa evenings, there are often free tango lessons at the start of the evening.  This could be your chance to practise what you’ve learnt on the dancefloor. Why not head to Argentina?Of course, you’ll have to save up. However, it’s a great way to learn more about Argentine culture, tango, its history, and try a few empanadas.  Tango cla sses, tutorials, or evenings are a great way to learn how to dance the tango. Why Learn to Dance the Tango as a Couple? Why should you learn to dance the tango with your partner rather than on your own?Organising dance classes london for two people can sometimes be difficult. You need to find a time when both of you are free. You have to listen to your partner when you dance the tango. (Source: fsHH)However, there are plenty of benefits to learning the tango as a couple as it can bring couples closer together. The tango requires couples to communicate without saying a word. It’s all about your body language and both partners need to be on the same wavelength to get it right.  This is why each dancer tends to have a partner that they prefer dancing with. The two partners learn to listen to each other and communicate through gestures, an exercise which is beneficial for any couple.  As a sensual dance, the tango can relight any couple’s fire. Both men and women have to dress nicely to tango. This means you can both wear your best outfits.Making the most of time together is great for couples.  So if you would like to become a student of dance, are an absolute beginner looking for an authentic Argentino tango class, or just looking for someone to teach you a bit of choreography, have a look at some of the private lessons available from the passionate tutors on Superprof! If you're getting married, why not consider learning the tango for your first dance to spice things up?Or you might want to learn more about couples' dancing in general...
